Robot Welder
We are currently hiring Robot Welder Operators for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30 Friday 07:00-13:30 (40 hours)
Rate: Competitive rates, dependent on experience. Overtime paid at at 1.5.
Job Summary
You will be responsible for welding a range of pipe arrangements from shop drawings, primarily using GMAW techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow direction from Site Supervisor to ensure prompt welding of pipes meets production output targets.
- Read and interpret project drawings accurately.
- Weld pipe sets of various diameters, typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm to 500mm.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding any welding issues or concerns.
- Adhere to company welding procedures and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Engage in training to comply with company standards and foster continuous learning.
- Liaise with Quality Control to address defects and non-conformances.
- Ensure compliance with Company H&S processes and manage workload efficiently.
- Set a positive example for other personnel on-site.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Programming, Setting, and Operating a Robot Welding Machine.
- At least 3 years of experience as a qualified Welder, including GMAW.
- In-depth knowledge of Weld Defects and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret welding procedure requirements and shop floor drawings.
- Familiarity with shop floor hand tools such as Grinders.
Desirable:
- Previous experience with TIG/MAG welding of diverse pipe arrangements.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork, or similar welding environments.
