The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team part time.
Shifts: part time hours - typically Monday , Friday and Saturday with additional shifts to be picked up during the week
Hours: 01:00-04:00 starts
Pay Rate: £13.71- £15.08 per hour PAYE
Location: Plymouth, PL6
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
· Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
· Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
· Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
· Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
. 6 months experience required
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
