TRC have teamed up with a well-established care provider who specialise in person centred care for adults and children with complex care needs in aims to find an excellent Nurse to cover their patch of clients in the Northwest area of Merseyside.
My client is searching for a registered Nurse who has some experience with complex needs such as PEG, tracheostomy and brain injuries to lead on assessments of new referrals and reviews of current service user care plans as well as assist in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff. There will be a requirement to manage appraisal and supervision of staff.
The Role:
To know how and where to access Company policies and procedures and relevant documentation.
To ensure that all service users understand the care and treatment choices that are available to them.
To know the arrangements in place for obtaining and acting in accordance with the
consent of the service users.
To positively promote the service user’s right to choose and independence whilst ensuring that they are treated with the utmost respect, privacy and dignity at all times.
To be aware of local and national services and sources of support so that information can
be provided to service users upon request.
To ensure continuity of presence – to enable new applicant interviews to take place at the
Office (and other locations on request).
To carry out on site supervision and appraisals with Homecare staff in accordance with
CQC.
To identify future training needs and report any such needs to the RM.
To carry out interviews with applicants in the office – signing off and determining
suitability for work skills lists
To complete and check applicants’ paperwork and scan all information to office IT system.
To assist the office staff in updating applicants document system.
To support office staff with any clinical issues, (this may also involve interviewing staff
where a complaint or drug error has occurred.)
Communicating any concerns to the OM as applicable.
Assisting with local office requirements as and when required.
