The Company

My client is a subsidiary one of the market leading foodservice companies within the UK. They supply a specialist food product range into Foodservice End Users. We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to the M4 Corridor and South.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

With a good mix of new business development and account management growing your area within the Foodservice end user marketplace – probably 25%/30% new business development.

Work out on the road within a geographical ‘patch’ – South Coast.

Report to the Sales Manager yet manage your own ‘business within a business’ to success.

Build trusted relationships with customers at all levels to maintain and grow cash margin in line with business budgets.

The Candidate

You MUST have experience selling Food into Foodservice End User

Ideally you will be an ex-chef but not essential

You could at Head or Sous Chef level looking for a change in career and a step into Foodservice Sales

You will be looking to move forward to a new challenge and not running away from something

You could be someone who is now looking for more responsibility and more autonomy in your role

Abundance of resilience

You must be tenacious and willing to apply the work ethic required to be successful

You will incredibly driven and have the desire to work in a people-centric environment – you put in the hard work, you will get the support and rewards in return

You will live in either the Bucks or Bristol region

All candidates must have a genuine passion for the industry – you must be a foodie and have the ability to relate to Chefs

You must live within a commutable distance to Reding/M4 Corridor/High Wycombe.
