Territory Sales Manager - FMCG

£30,000-£33,000 Basic +

Bonus + Car Allowance + Mobile + Laptop + Contributory Pension Scheme + 20 days Hols + BH’s

The Company

My client is a highly regarded and successful supplier of food and drinks into the UK Foodservice and Retail marketplaces. The company has big plans for growth over the next 3-5 years. The role we are recruiting for is on the Oriental side of the business selling into Oriental Supermarkets and Cash & Carry’s. The role we are recruiting for is a Territory Sales Manager covering from Southampton to Bristol. The path for progression is very real and carries numerous opportunities for candidates with the right aspirations and capabilities.

The Role

As a Territory Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • To maintain and maximise the profitability of existing Independent Accounts
  • To actively seek and acquire new business within agreed geographical target areas
  • To achieve targets set by Line Manager
  • To provide excellent levels of customer service and account management 
  • To encourage positive relationships across functions

The Candidate

  • You MUST have experience selling Food into the Oriental Supermarket and/or Cash & Carry marketplace
  • You will be looking to move forward to a new challenge and not running away from something
  • You must be tenacious, driven and willing to apply the work ethic required to be successful
  • You will be incredibly driven and have the desire to work in a people-centric environment – you put in the hard work, you will get the support and rewards in return
  • You must have an understanding of P&L
  • You will ideally live a commutable distance to cover the Southampton to Bristol territory
  • All candidates must have a genuine passion for the industry
