Planning and print industry experience essential


The Role:

This position is responsible for the management of planning and forecasting for all garment manufacturing. Managing and controlling stock and consumables as required to meet customer deadlines and SLA’s. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet and has experience of working within a print or closely aligned industry who understands the concepts of continuous improvement.

We expect the successful applicant to have the ability to work in the short term but also keep an eye on future promotions/trends and loadings. The schedules will match workload, manning, and production capacity to existing inventory and customer requirements. Maintaining a proactive, productive and professional attitude at all times in line with our company values.



  • Generating and maintaining accurate production schedules to ensure maximum team efficiency
  • Ensuring allocated workload is completed to quality expectations and supporting the PM with development and system needs
  • Loading all works orders onto our planning system, ensuring that all details are correct and that all significant variances are notified to the Production Manager
  • Undertaking “what-if” analysis for future jobs – planning of outcomes
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy at all times and ensure other members of the team are doing the same
  • Ensuring the execution of key operational tasks through effective planning
  •  Responsible for managing team leave
  • Communicating any issues which may affect the delivery S.L.A
  • Ensuring that all employees complete weekly timesheets and accurately log the hours worked against individual jobs
  • Working with the team to plan workload and workflow
  • Follow-up on urgent stock requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Prioritise open manufacturing orders to ensure the best possible delivery dates on urgent stock requirements.
  • Provide forward thinking and planning and review the workload coming into the department with the PM and Supervisor
  • Maintain and issue reports and information as required by the management team
  • Optimising obsolete SKU’s to fulfil incoming orders
  • Ensure procedures are correct and up to date at all times
  • Monitor the daily production conformance/variance to plan stock consumable management
  • Print/ distribute production plans to the relevant departments ensuring raw material availability for completion of the plans
  • Collaborating with customer services and production team to Investigate production issues, analyse root cause and importantly look to prevent any issues from occurring again


Required Skills/Experience

  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with individuals at different levels in the business and different departments
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Confident in the use of an -MRP/ERP system
  • Have excellent multitasking abilities
  • Have a strong numerical skill
  • Worked in a similar previous environment
  • Problem solver
  • Production Scheduling: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Launch and analysis of MRP (production and spare parts)
  • Requires knowledge of plant capacities, equipment, staffing, and processes, and an understanding of their interaction
  • Experience of working in a factory and office environment
  • Print related work experience gained ideally within deadline-driven garment print and embroidery environment
  • Use to working autonomously
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Excellent leadership abilities



  • GCSE Maths C (or equivalent) - required
  • GCSE English C (or equivalent) - required

  • Lean awareness demonstrated by projects/previous tasks undertaken
  • Report on findings from Root Cause Analysis
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement activities for the function
  • Produce and maintain reports for production planning activities and process
