Management Accountant


We are a recruitment agency based in Burley in Wharfedale, with offices in Leeds and Manchester. We are proud to be working with a large media firm in Leeds who are currently looking to recruit for a Management Accountant.


Management Accountant Duties

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts and group consolidation
  • Preparation of Financial Reporting packs for public filing in the US
  • Provide variances analysis from budget, identify added-value reporting opportunities for trend analysis and commentary to assist forecasting and budgeting requirements
  • Preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Assist with the Statutory and Sarbanes-Oxley audits preparation work to allow for timely completion of the audits, annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
  • Producing Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Involvement in the annual budget process
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed;
  • Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.

Project Duties

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of finance related projects
  • Strategic review & document of business critical processes
  • Constructive input into project work including identifying and implementing improvements to systems, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships to influence and gain support to ensure individuals give you the information you require

  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate must possess the ability to write complex reports and correspondence
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently with limited direction and exercise excellent initiative and good judgment
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and to work to tight deadlines
  • This position requires skills of a detail oriented, well-organised, problem solver who can work in an environment of multiple demands and distractions
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment


  • Qualified accountant
  • Ideally 1 year post qualification experience
