Legal Cashier

Skipton

Salary up to £25,000 + Benefits

My client is looking for a Legal Cashier to join their successful business in Skipton. This is a great opportunity to join a well established law firm.

Key responsibilities for the Legal Cashier include;

  • Supporting the operation of the accounting system;
  • Undertaking daily banking functions including bank reconciliations;
  • Processing client and office account transactions, including postings and transfers;
  • Ensuring that SRA Accounts Rules are adhered to and any breaches of the rules are recorded on the COFA report and reported to the Head of Accounts and COFA;
  • Preparatory work for the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts;
  • VAT;
  • Preparing financial management reports for directors and for board meetings;
  • Assisting and reporting to AMLRO;
  • Check raise and input invoices on the operating system;
  • Payment of interest on client monies;
  • Payment of authorised staff expenses in a timely manner;
  • Support credit control process;
  • The administration and reconciliation of petty cash;
  • Handling internal and external account queries and liaising with our accountants;
  • Reconcile Monthly Streamline Accounts;
  • Assist with financial file reviews.


The ideal Legal Cashier will need;

  • Solid Legal Cashier experience essential
  • Strong attention to detail essential
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
