Business Development Manager 

£40,000 - £45,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + Car + Mobile + Laptop + 25 days Hols + BH’s

 

The Company

My client is a fast-growing, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted business within the Catering/FM/Vending sectors. The company has big plans for growth over the next 3-5 years. We are currently recruiting for the brand new role of Business Development Manager to take full autonomy of the North of England within the Cleaning/FM Channel. This would be an excellent opportunity for an individual with 2-4 years of FM/Cleaning Sales experience, who is looking for a step up in their career with plenty of autonomy and no ‘red tape’.

 

The Role

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Research prospective clients in target markets, self-generate and pursue leads and follow through to a successful sale
  • Attend client-facing, introductory meetings as required 
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and devise bespoke strategies can be used to attract clients
  • Develop innovative and forward-thinking delivery models, in collaboration with our operational colleagues, that meet the client’s critical requirements 
  • Deliver strong written proposals that highlight the benefits of the company’s offer and the advantages to their client
  • Develop and deliver high calibre presentations that enhance the offer and achieve absolute client buy in to the business’ proposed approach 
  • Complete client commercial modelling, as required
  • Possess a strong understanding of the company’s products, their competition in the industry and positioning
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
  • Work with supply chain partners to utilise the latest technology in the company’s approach
  • The role will predominantly be based in the north but there could be extensive travel across our operational patch, including some travel to London and the South East

 

The Candidate

  • At least 3 years cleaning sales experience within the FM marketplace
  • Ideally, degree educated
  • Competent across the Microsoft Office suite
  • A full, UK driving license
  • You will be looking to move forward to a new challenge and not running away from something
  • You must be a ‘go-getter’ a real HUNTER
  • You will have the ambitions and desire to build a team and drive a channel as your own
  • You must be tenacious, driven and willing to apply the work ethic required to be successful
  • You will be incredibly driven and have the desire to work in a people-centric environment – you put in the hard work, you will get the support and rewards in return
  • You must have an understanding of P&L
  • You will live in the North of the country with the ability to commute near Leeds once a week
  • You must have experience at presenting at Head Office level and understand the planning which goes towards this
